About AACMHA

The mission of the Anne Arundel County Mental Health Agency, Inc. (AACMHA) is to provide leadership and collaboration for the planning, monitoring, and managing of a comprehensive continuum of mental health care to eligible residents of all ages.

AACMHA seeks to ensure that Medicaid recipients and other low-income, uninsured county residents have convenient access to diverse, extensive and well-coordinated mental health services that will effectively meet their needs.

In implementing its mission, AACMHA is guided by a core set of values centered on respect for the rights and dignity of the people served.

A Board of Directors consisting of county officials, consumers, advocates, and other citizens oversees the operations of the AACMHA. The Anne Arundel County Executive appoints the board members.

Executive Director Frank Sullivan and his staff direct day-to-day operations with the assistance of several committees composed of volunteers and staff.
