Session 1: COD Basics

Date: Monday, February 19

This session will focus on co-occurring disorders. We will cover diagnostic information for both mental illness and substance use disorders. Information will be provided on commonly used substances.

Session 2: Engagement Basics for COD

Date Monday, February 26

This session will focus on engagement strategies for relationship building. Stage-wise treatment basics and harm reduction interventions will also be covered.

Session 3: Motivational Interviewing for COD

Date: Monday, March 4

This is an introductory session to Motivational Interviewing and how to pair MI with other interventions.

Session 4: Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Skills Part 1

Date: Monday, March 11

This session will cover the skills from Marsha Linehan’s Core Mindfulness and Emotion Regulation modules.

Session 5: Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Skills Part 2

Date: Monday, March 18

This session will cover the skills from Marsha Linehan’s Distress Tolerance and Interpersonal Effectiveness modules.


These opportunities will be helpful for residential staff, case managers, support professionals, and other non-clinical staff.
