Anxiety Disorders are the most common mental health problem in the US. It is estimated that 31% of the population will meet criteria for an Anxiety Disorder in their lifetime. This presentation offers key insights into the ways therapists unknowingly collude with their client’s anxiety, and how to help clients heal once and for all. Participants will learn an effective framework for conceptualizing some of the most frustrating clinical challenges in treating Anxiety Disorders, and be able to start developing a more effective strategy for treatment.
This training will be led by Michelle Perry, PhD. Dr. Perry is the founder and CEO of The Center for Trauma, Stress, and Anxiety. Further, during Dr. Perry's clinical rotations, she specialized in the treatment of anxiety and trauma-related conditions while working at the Anxiety and Stress Disorders Institute.
Completion of this training is worth 1 CEU credits for counselors, social workers, and psychologists in the state of Maryland. If you are outside of the state of Maryland, the CEU credits will count if your licensing board accepts American Psychological Association (APA) accreditation. If you are unclear, please check with your licensing board to make sure they accept APA accreditation.
