Free Two-Evening Virtual Training from Maryland ROPTA-Youth Mental Health First Aid

University of Maryland Extension MarylandROPTA is offering a free training session of Youth Mental Health First Aid.

Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) teaches participants how to help youth experiencing a mental health challenge, crisis, or addiction issue. The course introduces common mental health challenges and teaches a 5-step action plan for how to help young people in both crisis and non-crisis situations. Topics include anxiety, depression, substance use, psychosis, disruptive behavior disorders, and eating disorders.

Format: Self-paced independent online learning combined with a 6-hour virtual, live instruction workshop.
