This experiential training is designed for clinicians who have completed an introductory Sandplay Therapy training and are interested in expanding their ability to engage with symbolic material in deeper, more nuanced ways within the sand tray.
Building on foundational sandplay principles, participants will explore how symbols emerge, relate, transform, and evolve across the therapeutic process.
Topics will include levels of symbolic meaning, tray topography and positioning, sequencing and progression across trays, sensory and symbolic use of water, and the process of amplification without collapsing into interpretation.
Drawing from Jungian and Kalffian perspectives, the training will also examine the paradox of developing symbolic knowledge while remaining open and unattached to fixed meaning so that each tray can be approached with curiosity and fresh observation.
Through guided reflection, experiential exercises, and case material, clinicians will strengthen their ability to observe symbolic process with increased depth, nuance, and confidence.
