Join Breanna Fair-McCall, LCPC, RPT, for an engaging training exploring the history, foundations, and clinical differences between non-directive and directive play therapy. Participants will learn key play therapy concepts, major contributors to the field, and the core principles behind child-centered/non-directive and structured/directive approaches.
This training includes hands-on practice with foundational skills such as tracking, reflective listening, emotional validation, structured play activities, therapeutic storytelling, role play, and case application. Participants will also explore how to choose the right approach based on the child’s needs and how to create a therapeutic play space that supports healing and growth.
