Participants will learn best practices based on research for assessing and responding to suicide risk within diverse social work settings. The presenter will provide information on various research-based screenings and assessment tools, in addition to suicide safety planning, including an introduction to the evidence-based Crisis Response Plan intervention.
Participants will have an opportunity to practice using screening tools and safety planning intervention to expand their clinical repertoire of interventions and will learn gain new knowledge about suicide prevention theory and practice.
