This training is NOT hosted by the Anne Arundel County Mental Health Agency

This workshop will provide a framework for practitioners to examine the role of social workers in advancing the economic stability of individuals, families, and communities. Participants will gain a foundation in the language, theories, practice techniques, tools, and resources available to help clients build financial stability in today’s context of economic inequality and social policy landscape.

Through a series of exercises and discussions, practitioners will learn how values, habits, and beliefs about money affect financial behaviors and impact client well-being. Participants will learn how to apply social work skills to identify and discuss financial issues with clients.

Completing this workshop is strongly encouraged before registering for other more specialized courses in financial social work.

This workshop was previously titled Introduction to Financial Stability.
