This interactive workshop is designed to assist social work leaders in the process of providing supervision to social workers for clinical licensure, competent ethical practice and managing the complex legal and therapeutic issues that arise when delivering services in various practice settings.
The field of Social Work is very complex, tedious, and often overwhelming which can result in high turnover, poor quality of services and regulatory compliance and staff burnout. The role of Social Work Supervisors is crucial driving effective clinical practice, quality assurance and agency compliance.
This workshop will provide strategies and tools for social work supervisors of all supervisory levels and in all practice settings to enhance their knowledge base, supervisory skills, and ability to connect and monitor those they supervise.
Learning Objectives
Gain a greater understanding of the roles, styles and types of supervision and be able to identify how they guide effective clinical practice. Increase their knowledge base in the areas of Cross-Cultural Supervision and Critical Thinking as a tool in guiding competent supervisee clinical practice.
Gain a clear understanding of their role as Clinical Supervisor for the purposes of obtaining Clinical Licensure.
Gain greater competence in their ability to manage the delivery of services, monitor effectiveness and efficiency and engage in difficult conversations regarding performance in agency settings.
