Fulfills Maryland Anti-Oppressive Social Work 3 CE Requirement AND Structural Racism and Implicit Bias Training Requirements

This training helps participants move beyond individual-level cultural awareness and explore how  structural racism shapes trauma, trust, service access, treatment engagement, and long-term  outcomes. It is designed for professionals who want practical tools for delivering more responsive care  while also understanding the broader systems that influence client experience.

Grounded in trauma-informed care and cultural intelligence, the session gives staff a framework for  recognizing how policy, institutional habits, professional norms, and racialized inequities can produce  harm even when people have good intentions. Participants are encouraged to reflect on both personal  practice and system-level conditions.

The result is a training that is both reflective and practical: participants leave with a stronger grasp of  structural racism, clearer language for discussing inequity, and concrete strategies they can apply in  daily interactions, team processes, and organizational decision-making.
