This is a three-hour workshop focusing on intensive, effective advocacy for seniors.  Social workers who attend the course will leave the workshop with a deeper understanding of the unique, inherent complexities of advocating for the aged in both community and clinical settings.

Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of care available, costs, and how to support seniors and their families, friends, partners, and spouses, with a quick and thorough dive into senior-specific care options and barriers to fluid care.

Attendees will understand outside influence in in a dollar-driven health care delivery model and how they can fortify themselves and the seniors they serve with proven guidance, strategic appeal tactics, and confident writing skills.

This workshop will offer fresh advocacy approaches for seasoned social workers in clinical and community settings, as well as social workers with less field work in geriatric social work.
