A Message from Our Executive Director
    November 2025
Saturday, November 22nd is International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day, intended to be a day when friends and family of those who have died by suicide come together for healing and support. The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) will be hosting two virtual events on Facebook and YouTube for survivors of suicide loss: Día De Esperanza, which will include a Spanish language panel, on November 21st, and Survivor Day Live on November 22nd. AFSP also has created a guide for those who would like to learn tips for talking to suicide loss survivors thoughtfully and responsibly.
November is National Family Caregivers Month. There are over 63 million family caregivers in the U.S., providing billions of hours of care anually, often unpaid and while also handling other repsonsibilities. This year's theme is "Plug In To Care". The Caregiver Action Network has compiled resources for caregivers focusing on connections to help caregivers "plug in" to tools and resources.
We would like to wish everyone a healthy and peaceful Thanksgiving, with opportunities to spend time with friends and loved ones.
