The Continuum of Care (formerly called Shelter Plus Care) program provides housing for homeless adults with severe mental illness and their families.
The Continuum of Care (CoC) application must be filled out in its entirety in order to be processed and must be approved through ACCESS Housing waitlist
Supported Housing Developers (SHD) provides affordable housing for individuals with mental illness and other disabilities in Anne Arundel County.

The Anne Arundel County Department of Health has partnered with Arundel House of Hope, Chrysalis House, Opportunity Ministries and Serenity Sistas to provide recovery housing for women and their children.
To be eligible, a woman must be age 18 or older, have at least one child in her physical custody, have a diagnosed substance use disorder and must participate in substance abuse treatment or aftercare as appropriate.
A care coordinator hired by the Department of Health provides services to any woman participating in the program. For more information on the Recovery Housing Women and Children program, call 410-222-0120.

Anne Arundel County has four shelters, with one wait list for all of the shelters.

Screening is done in-person Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Arrive at the agency and ask to speak with Emergency Services for shelter.

The Light House-Safe Harbor Resource Center
Screening is done in person on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. and Wednesdays between 12:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
