This position reports to the Clinical Support Specialist Supervisor, and is a non-supervisory role functioning as a care manager for adults requiring behavioral health treatment and related services.
Aftercare services are provided for client treatment, post-hospitalization, or post-detention, RRP or for individuals who need referral information.
The Adult Aftercare Specialist advocates for referred adult clients to help them attain satisfactory social, economic, mental, or physical wellness, provides referrals, and negotiates on behalf of the client for receipt of services while remaining current on participating community providers.

• Assists SOAR-trained individuals, as necessary, administers database for PATH funds and approves bills sent for SOAR workers
• Assists DOC referrals including scheduling of initial psychiatric appointments and case management intakes for discharging inmates, maintains database of DOC referrals
• Provides administrative oversight support for grants and community partners by reviewing funding requests and billings, attending designated community and provider meetings, reviewing monthly progress notes, maintaining utilization and service reports, assisting with Agency report updates, administering satisfaction surveys for RRP clients, serving on assigned committees and providing database updates

The CRS Phone Counselor Evening Shift Supervisor is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the Operations Center during the evening shift, including hiring, supervising and scheduling staff. The Supervisor reviews and approves Credible notes from mental health phone counselors; provides monthly statistics to the CRS Director; and liaises with the Mobile Crisis Team (MCT) Supervisor and Critical Incident Team (CIT) Supervisor to ensure timely and effective communication and case-processing between MCT/CIT and operations.
The CRS Phone Counselor Evening Shift Supervisor:
- Supervises the evening Team Lead;
- Maintains program policies, procedures, scheduling and workload of FT, PT and CPT employees;
- Ensures daily reviews client needs for appropriate follow-up actions;
- Maintains an updated resource for referrals; obtains feedback from partner groups and providers and makes needed recommendations for improvement;
- Reviews and approves Credible notes and provides feedback to appropriate staff;

This position is located within the Operations Center (OPS) and "Warmline" of the Crisis Response System of the Anne Arundel County Mental Health Agency, Inc (Agency).
The position reports directly to the OPS Supervisor and interacts regularly with the Crisis Intervention Team (CIT), Mobile Crisis Team (MCT), Safe Stations Team (SS) Care Coordinators (CC) and Hospital Diversion (HD).
The Mental Health Phone Counselor is responsible for providing phone support and resources to clients who call the Warmline. Primarily the support results in linkage to mental health services that are provided daily (24 hours). The Phone Counselor receives all incoming calls, elicits essential information from caller, and determines the immediacy and type of response needed.
Phone Counselors assist clients identified as at-risk for hospitalization in obtaining urgent care appointments and arranging transportation if needed. The Phone Counselor also assesses for suicidal ideations and creates safety plans when applicable.
