Grief is a complex, deeply personal experience that extends far beyond the commonly known “five stages.” In this interactive workshop, participants will explore a broader, more inclusive understanding of grief, examining how it shows up in the lives of youth and families in non-linear and culturally specific ways.

This training will  challenge traditional models, identify everyday strategies for supporting the grief process, and engage with critical reflection questions designed to deepen compassionate practice.

Participants will also explore common barriers to healing and discover how culturally affirming approaches can better honor the diverse ways grief is experienced and expressed.

This session will provide practical tools and frameworks to foster healing spaces that respect and uplift the cultural identities and lived experiences of those we serve.
