What stands in our client's way of grieving? What makes it so hard for them to grieve? How often do society and others judge individuals because they are not "getting" over their grief? Who are the invisible grievers? These questions and more have been the topic of conversation on grief and loss.
Grief is a normal and natural response to death and non-death losses. It can be shared and experienced by all individuals. Yet, everyone grieves differently. Despite the variance in grief responses, this workshop will explore behaviors and emotions expressed and experienced across the lifespan. It will review how an individual's experience with grief differs according to many factors, such as gender, age, developmental level, family, cultural, and social life experiences. We will also review case scenarios and how clinicians and providers can be more proactive in supporting themselves and others grieving various losses through assessments, different grief models, and therapeutic interventions.
Upon successfully completing the training, attendees meet the criteria to become Certified Grief Informed Professionals through Evergreen Certifications. The course price includes a FREE first year of certification through Evergreen Certifications. Instructions to receive free first-year certification are provided after course completion.
