Healthcare workers face challenges and dissatisfaction in a complex healthcare environment with administrative duties, setting priorities, and time constraints. Documentation is time-consuming. The healthcare environment with busy work days, demands on time, fast pace, job pressure, and emotional intensity can make it difficult for directors, administrators, social workers, and staff to maintain professionalism when facing challenges.
Burnout is a stress reaction marked by emotionalism, depersonalization, exhaustion, and a lack of personal accomplishment. As staff shortages continue to impact healthcare facilities, the growing burden on social workers leads to higher rates of burnout and lowers the quality of residents’ care.
Learning Objectives: At the end of this workshop, attendees will:
1. Explore ways to improve communication in challenging situations.
2. Learn how to reduce workloads.
3.Learn how to maintain professionalism.
