Remarkably Resilient Together (RRT) is a community-wide campaign raising awareness about trauma and its impact on people, while offering practical tools to build resilience.
RRT is based on the neuroscience of trauma and grounded in the lived experiences of its creators, the Harnish sisters, who are thriving childhood trauma survivors giving hope to people healing from their own traumatic experiences or high levels of stress.
Trauma – which can cause dysregulation, when our emotions get out of control – often is the root cause of many chronic medical conditions, substance abuse, mental health challenges, absenteeism and lower life potential.
RRT provides the knowledge and tools people need to effectively manage the detrimental effects of trauma and stress. Additionally, while the RRT program is especially helpful to vulnerable populations who have experienced physical, sexual or emotional trauma – including foster families, incarcerated individuals and abuse survivors – it also is a valuable addition to any employee well-being initiative.
RRT’s focus is on vulnerable populations, although it can be applied broadly. Specific audiences the program has targeted to date include:
Foster youth and child welfare providers
Correctional facilities (incarcerated population and staff)
Professionals who experience vicarious trauma on the job, such as emergency responders
Corporate wellness program participants
Trauma survivors
