In this course youy will discuss the research behind both CBT and ACT for a variety of disorders. You will then discuss the structural similarities and differences between these two therapy modalities, including populations, lessons, assessment, interventions, skills, and outcomes.
This will help you to better understand what therapy modalities to use with your clients and to see where the future of psychotherapy is going, such as process-based CBT models. You will then go over the current process-based models and research, which will include resources and additional training.
Understand the similarities and differences between ACT and CBT.
Learn which approach is best for your client.
Integrate the two using new process-based techniques and research.
