Learning Objectives

Understand the Unique Healthcare Needs of Women Veterans: Participants will be able to describe the characteristics of the women Veteran VA population, mental health challenges faced by women Veterans, and current trends in maternity care and perinatal mental health.


Navigate the VA Healthcare System for Women Veterans: Participants will gain knowledge of the VA healthcare services available to women Veterans, including eligibility criteria and specialized programs for maternity care.


Enhance Support and Advocacy for Women Veterans’ Health: Participants will develop strategies to improve outreach, care coordination, and advocacy for women Veterans, ensuring they receive comprehensive and gender-sensitive healthcare services through the VA system.
