Panic Disorder is associated with significant distress and impairment in youth. Fortunately, cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) is an evidence-based approach to treating panic. This workshop will review the the risk and maintaining factors of panic disorder and panic presentations in youth.
Next, you will focus on the main components of Panic Control Therapy for Adolescents as well as how to adapt this CBT model to children. This training will provide practical guidelines to implementing the treatment. Using case studies, the trainer will demonstrate strategies to increase its effectiveness and overcome treatment barriers.
