Problem gambling impacts the entire family, yet when seeking treatment, the onus is placed on the individual with the identified problem. This webinar seeks to increase participants' understanding of the impact that problem and disordered gambling has on the entire family system and how to support that system, independent of the gambler choosing recovery for him/herself.
Learning Objectives:
Help family member(s) recognize early warning signs of problem gambling and seek appropriate interventions.
Identify most common family issues when working with individuals who suffer from problem gambling and/or gambling disorder.
Identify and address common therapeutic challenges when working with families who have been negatively affected by individuals with gambling disorder.
Identify 2 resources to provide families with to obtain support.
