This course focuses on counseling clients to improve work relationships and create positive workplaces by managing anger and frustration.

Work-related stress arises when individuals are faced with work demands and pressures that do not align with their skills and abilities, challenging their capability to handle the situation. This stress can occur in various work scenarios, especially when workers feel unsupported by their supervisors and colleagues and have insufficient control over work processes. Many workers report experiencing work-related stress, which significantly impacts their performance and health.

In essence, the detrimental effects of workplace stress on employees' mental health cannot be overstated. It leads to an increased risk of anxiety, burnout, depression, and substance abuse disorders. Additionally, stressed workers may develop unhealthy habits, such as smoking, excessive drinking, and drug use, as well as poor eating habits.

Learning Objectives:

Identifying common causes of work-related stress
Examining the impacts of workplace stress
Exploring workplace interventions for reducing stress
Demonstrating how to manage workplace conflict with a proactive and comprehensive approach
Exploring strategies, best practices, and resources to create productive work environments for mental health professionals.
