Supervisors have an essential role in developing the professional competence of their supervisees for effective client outcomes and best practices. The purpose of this workshop is to identify and explore how to identify, incorporate, and evaluate best practices. In addition, review of the recent changes to the BSWE Supervision requirements and responsibilities will be covered.
Learning Objectives:
Explore current challenging trends in supervision of new Social Workers and MSW students.
Engage in mutual problem-solving with other social work educators and supervisors.
Develop one individualized resource to support supervision success.
Review the Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners requirements for Supervision. (COMAR 10.42.08)
