Gambling disorder can have profound financial consequences that extend beyond the individual to affect families, workplaces, and communities. This presentation examines how problematic gambling behavior often leads to escalating debt, depleted savings, bankruptcy, and legal or employment-related consequences. We will explore the ways financial stress can intensify mental health challenges, and highlight the broader economic costs associated with gambling disorder. Resources to promote financial well-being will be provided.
