This training will address suicide risk among older adults and will strengthen statewide capacity to identify risk, build protective factors, and connect older adults to appropriate supports and resources.
Learning Objectives
1. Recognize unique risk and protective factors influencing suicide among older adults.
2. Identify warning signs and barriers to care specific to older adult populations.
3. Apply evidence-based prevention and intervention strategies tailored to older adults.
4. Identify opportunities to integrate suicide prevention practices within aging services, healthcare systems, and community-based networks.
