Adult Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) teaches participants how to help adults aged 18 and older experiencing a mental health challenge, crisis, or substance use issue. The course introduces common mental health challenges and teaches a 5-step action plan for how to help adults in both crisis and non-crisis situations, as well as how to refer individuals to resources, professional help, and self-help.

Format: Self-paced independent online learning combined with a 6-hour virtual, live instruction workshop.
Once registered for the workshop, you will be enrolled in the online learning management system, MHFA Connect. You will receive instructions and login credentials to complete the self-paced portion no later than 1-week prior to the virtual workshop. The self-paced portion of the course MUST BE COMPLETED in order to be admitted into the workshop.
