This Summit is not hosted by the Anne Arundel County Mental Health Agency

Application approval for 6 CEs through the National Association of Social Workers is pending at time of publication.

This summit aims to give clinicians practical tools to thoughtfully integrate spirituality into their work. Participants will explore the psychology and neuroscience of spirituality, learn methods to help clients develop meaning, purpose, and spiritual connectedness, and discover Jewish psychological approaches and practices shown to strengthen emotional resilience and support healthier mental and spiritual lives.

Thousands of studies show that integrating a patient’s religion and spirituality into mental health treatment can dramatically improve outcomes. It can accelerate recovery from depression, reduce psychological distress, and lower suicide risk up to sevenfold.

While the speakers will focus on clinical applications for practitioners, the conference is open to anyone.

Non-Jewish clinicians are encouraged to join, especially those interested in the topic and those looking to gain cultural competence in Jewish spiritual modalities for their work with Jewish clients.
