Sleep disruption is one of the most pressing concerns among veterans with PTSD. This 2-hour workshop will explore the intersection of sleep health and PTSD with an emphasis on military populations.

Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of dimensions of sleep health and the bidirectional relationship between PTSD and sleep disturbance in military populations. The workshop will bridge research and clinical practice by reviewing evidence-based interventions for PTSD-related sleep problems and introducing emerging research on morning light therapy as a novel treatment approach.

Attendees will receive practical, actionable guidance on implementing morning light therapy protocols and learn evidence-informed strategies for assessing and improving sleep in their clinical practice or personal lives.

Learning Objectives:

1. Describe the relationship between sleep health and PTSD among service members and veterans.
2. Summarize current evidence supporting the use of morning light therapy for PTSD.
3. Apply practical guidelines for improving sleep health, including the use of morning light therapy.
