This training provides an overview of Intimate Partner Violence (IPV), including the dynamics of abuse and common patterns of power and control. Participants will explore barriers to leaving an abusive relationship, risk factors associated with femicide and considerations for working with diverse populations.
The training will also cover risk assessment, safety planning strategies, trauma-informed intervention approaches, and best practices for supporting survivors while promoting autonomy and safety.
