3 Anti-Oppressive Social Work Practices CEs

This interactive three-hour presentation explores how trauma-informed care and social determinants of mental health work together shape well-being, access to care, and life outcomes. Participants will examine how systemic inequities, such as racism, poverty, housing instability, and limited healthcare access, influence trauma exposure and the healing process.

Through didactic teaching, discussion, and reflection, practitioners will learn how to apply trauma-informed principles in diverse settings while staying attentive to the broader social structures that affect health, mental health, and resilience. The goal is to strengthen equitable, effective, and compassionate support within the therapeutic process.
