This course will review social work ethics, including social work standards for technology, and explore artificial intelligence. Attendees will discuss what artificial intelligence is and how it is currently being used, especially in the social work/mental health space. Attendees will discuss ethical and HIPAA considerations of artificial intelligence to be aware of as social workers.  

Objectives:

Summarize the NASW Social Work Code of Ethics, social work standards for technology, and HIPAA.  

Explain what artificial intelligence is and identify the types of AI.  

Identify and analyze ethical considerations around use of artificial intelligence in social work and how to use it ethically.


Audience: Social Workers, LCPCs, and Psychologists, anyone interested in the subject matter
