The Suicide Death Investigation Course is a two-day immersive workshop centered on the review of Medicolegal Death Investigation procedures related to mortality assessments and inquiries with a particular focus on cases involving suicide within healthcare and behavioral healthcare systems.
The course aims to provide participants with an understanding of how manners of death are classified, to acquire the skills and knowledge to conduct mortality reviews, death investigations or inquiries, to foster critical thinking abilities when completing death reviews, and enable them to comprehend the circumstances surrounding a death for drawing conclusions regarding suicide.
This course was designed to meet the needs of professionals who may conduct death investigations in their place of employment, including medical examiners, forensic psychologists, coroners, law enforcement, first responders, counselors, psychologists, and physicians.
