This training introduces participants to the role of medications in treating Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) and how these medications support long-term recovery. The session will cover the biology of addiction, the mechanisms of FDA-approved medications for OUD, and how these medications integrate with broader recovery support systems. Emphasis will be placed on practical considerations, including how Medicaid and other funding sources can be leveraged to support both pharmacologic treatment and non-clinical recovery supports.
