3 Anti-Oppressive Social Work Practices CEs
Anti-oppressive social work practice requires more than self-reflection and awareness, it requires a transformative interactive process. Critical conversations are a necessary part of this process; yet are often avoided because they are difficult and uncomfortable.
This workshop will invite you into brave space to explore these complicated issues that impact effective client outcomes and our work with colleagues. Content will cover the following topics: elements of reflective and self-aware practice, creating the space for critical conversations, concepts of anti-oppressive practice, and strategies for dialogue in response to microaggressions.
