Substance abuse in older adults is a hidden epidemic in the United States. Many factors come into play to render them at risk. Participants will learn how to identify at-risk older adults and what treatment protocols exist to help them.

List three substances most commonly abused by older adults.
Differentiate between five definitions of substance abuse.
Discuss three treatment protocols for older adults.
