Morning Webinar: Clinical Psychopharmacology Made Ridiculously Simple

8:45 AM-12:00 PM ET

This 3-hour live webinar training will teach therapists the ins and outs of psychiatric/psychotropic medications. Non-prescribing therapists are crucial to the effective and safe use of psychiatric medications by their clients.

In contrast to clinicians who focus primarily on medications, therapists generally spend more time with their clients and are more familiar with their history and current situation. They also tend to develop a greater rapport.

Considering that most clients diagnosed with depression, anxiety, psychosis, posttraumatic stress disorder, and virtually every other psychiatric disorder receive pharmacological interventions, the non-prescribing therapist needs to understand how psychiatric medications work, their limitations and side effects, and how to help their clients maximize gains through increasing medication compliance.

Upon completion of this workshop, attendees will understand the effective use of psychiatric medications, basic pharmacological and neurobiological principles as they relate to clinical psychopharmacology, and be in a better position to help clients maximize outcomes from medication therapy. This clinical psychopharmacology training is essential for clinicians working in direct practice.

Afternoon Webinar: Narcissistic Abuse 101

12:45 PM-4:00 PM ET

This training will provide clinicians with a clear understanding of the definition, history, spectrum, and concept of narcissism and narcissistic abuse. Training areas of focus include understanding the harmful effects of narcissistic abuse on clients, learning to identify narcissistic traits and behaviors, and understanding how narcissism in relationships damages victims’ self-concept, agency, and relationship expectations.

Attendees will learn how to identify primary goals of treatment, and to understand potential risks and challenges in treating this population.
